Each bowl we make comes from fallen trees in and around Manchester. From every log, blanks are selected based on grain patterns and direction, making the most out of the salvaged materials.

Most of our bowls are “turned green, once” which is to say they are turned to final thickness while the wood is still fresh and contains moisture. We then set the bowl aside to dry. The grain and nature of the wood then take over, settling on it’s final shape. In the fashion of those who created bowls before us for 100s of years; we leave our tool marks on our bowls as both a nod to tradition and as a signifier that the bowls was made by hand. All of our bowls are finished with an all natural and food safe Linseed oil/beeswax mixture.
