Office Job
A commission from an environmental consulting firm had me building two tables. One had to fit full sized maps used in client meetings, and the other was a small coffee table to have one on one conversations. The budget was tight and so was space, so I utilized pipes and fittings to create an affordable table base for a reclaimed wood top, that was able to be transported up the narrow staircase and then assembled on site. The coffee table top is also made with reclaimed wood and the legs are made with a unique piece of pole pine that had swelled during a forest fire which created the large lumps. The use of interesting local materials highlighted the firm's connection with the environment.
