Keeley Traae X Critical: Collaboration

£55.00
Sold Out

Approx. 70mm x 60 mm

I am so happy to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Keeley Traae.

We met in my studio in Manchester to discuss our first collaboration. The results are stunning with these hand-turned wooden lids and spinning tops, a beautiful addition to Keeley's 3d printed vases and bases.

Each design begins with a pencil sketch followed by a digital 3D surface printed in Keeley's studio. She uses biodegradable PLA which is short for Polylactic Acid, a thermoplastic polymer derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch, potato starch, or sugar cane. My elegant addition of hand-turned wood add an interesting juxtaposition of materials. My materials are mostly sourced from naturally fallen trees in and around Manchester.

The nature of the 3d print and hand-turned processes make each piece unique with striations and marks adding individuality.

Due to the biodegradable nature of the 3d print materials, the objects are not waterproof. Please clean both wood and PLA with a dry cloth.

Branding: Each piece has a KT and Studio Critical : label.

Gift packaging: With a gift card included the object comes in a recyclable folding carton with tissue paper and a branded sticker.
